Andorra is a destination for summer, autumn and spring. And, of course, for winter too. Because if there is one season when the Principality has all the ingredients for the perfect getaway, it is winter: crisp, cold days, snow blanketing the landscape and ski slopes ready to welcome you. A time for thermal waters overlooking majestic mountains and shops filled with endless treats to add to your wish list. Here is our selection of must-do experiences for enjoying Andorra in winter.

More than 300 kilometres of ski slopes

It may be easy to say, but more than 300 kilometres is a remarkable amount for a country the size of Andorra. So much so that every skier can find a slope suited to their ability and preferred type of descent. There is no shortage of choice. You can explore the different sectors that make up Grandvalira, the largest ski resort in the Principality and southern Europe; make the most of the plentiful, long-lasting snow at Ordino Arcalís; or discover nature at its wildest in Pal Arinsal.

These three resorts offer no shortage of thrilling, challenging runs, but they also feature dedicated learning areas and spaces where younger skiers can practise their first descents. There are plenty of other activities too, including snowshoeing, zip-lining and igloo building, should you fancy a change of pace.

What’s more, Sercotel Delfos Andorra is a convenient base from which to enjoy the ski resorts of Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís.

Caldea, a haven of wellbeing

Any getaway to Andorra with relaxation in mind simply has to include a thermal-water experience. At Caldea, you can enjoy indoor facilities ranging from hydromassage baths and waterfalls to hot tubs, saunas and hammam sessions. There are outdoor experiences too: drift away in the outdoor lagoon while admiring the mountains, lie back on a bubble bed and feel yourself completely unwind, or enjoy the panoramic lagoon. As the availability of the facilities may vary, it is advisable to check before your visit. And if you are looking for a little more tranquillity, there is a Premium admission option reserved for guests aged 16 and over. For extra wellbeing, convenience and peace of mind, Sercotel Delfos Andorra is located around 400 metres from Caldea.

Write your letter to the Three Kings in Andorra

Who has never heard the words, ‘Since you’re going to Andorra, could you bring me this or look for that?’ No trip to the Principality is complete without spending at least a few hours shopping. Browsing the shops surrounded by mountains and historic buildings is certainly a little different from the usual experience. Add to this the fact that Sercotel Delfos Andorra is located just 50 metres from Escaldes-Engordany’s premier shopping avenue, Avinguda Carlemany, and the plan becomes even more convenient. Where the parish of Escaldes gives way to Andorra la Vella, the street becomes Avinguda Meritxell, widely known as the Shopping Mile. Electronics, perfumes, cosmetics, jewellery… You are in the perfect place to start writing your letter to the Three Kings.
