Beneath your feet, integrated into the hotel's design, you'll find an eight-meter stretch of the decumanus, which corresponds to a street from the east-west axis of the Roman Empire era. The subtle and elegant decoration accompanies you in a space surrounded by history, with a setting featuring natural stone, natural light and vegetation.These elements, combined with walnut and rattan wood in the wardrobes adorning the 45 rooms, and the noble wood floors, create a balance and comfort for your enjoyment and well-being.
But history isn't only visible inside EsteOeste; it also surrounds it. Our charming hotel is located in Santo Domingo Square, in the heart of the historic district, which embraces the historic Roman Wall built over 17 centuries ago to protect the ancient city of Lucus Augusti. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2000. If you stay at EsteOeste hotel, you're close to everything. Just a few meters away, you have the iconic Abastos Market, Lugo Cathedral, the Main Square, or the Provincial Museum of Lugo. And also, Praza do Campo, the epicenter of Lugo's gastronomy. From this location, three streets branch out: rúa do Miño, Nova, and rúa da Cruz. In any of them, you'll find a wide variety of bars to enjoy tapas. The difficult part will be choosing because they all look amazing.
Another unique feature of our hotel in Lugo is the choice of sustainable materials in its construction and restoration. The entire structure has been designed in wood, a sustainable material with a long tradition of use in Galicia. Additionally, EsteOeste by Sercotel is located in an ancient city building, typical of Galician architecture and dating back to the 13th century, which is being rehabilitated while preserving its singularities.
