In the worlds of Warner Park, excitement is infectious. As you venture further into the park, it is easy to imagine yourself as a star strolling down Hollywood Boulevard or surrounded by the special effects of Movie World Studios; to feel the thrill of discovering Bugs Bunny’s burrow in Cartoon Village; to become a cowboy in Old West Territory; or to wonder just how much adrenaline you have unleashed on ‘La Venganza del Enigma’, one of the attractions in DC Super Heroes World.

Warner Park also likes to keep things fresh. That is why it expands its entertainment programme during the summer with shows such as Rockin’ Blues, a full-on 1950s musical; The New Adventures of the Old Creek Saloon, which brings the Wild West to the stage; and a variety of shows starring DC’s heroes and villains. As show schedules and opening times may vary, it is best to check the programme before your visit. 

Some people say Madrid does not have a beach. We say that is only because they have never visited Warner Beach, splashed in the waves at Malibu Beach, stepped into the capsule that sends riders plunging down ‘Wonder Woman: El Lazo Mágico’, or careered around on a giant inflatable tube on the ‘Aquaman’ slides. The city heat feels far more manageable when you can spend the day hopping from pool to pool or relaxing beneath a parasol.  

This enormous aquarium recreates five of the world’s aquatic ecosystems, ranging from mangrove forests to Antarctica, and is home to 10,000 marine animals. Little ones will laugh at the penguins’ antics, have fun searching for Nemo — or rather, the clownfish — and admire the elegance of the sharks up close. And while children can discover the creatures that inhabit our planet’s waters, they will also learn about the importance of protecting their natural habitats.  

To achieve this, Atlantis Aquarium Madrid organises interactive and educational activities, offers experiences such as sleeping among sharks, and runs its ‘Animal of the Month’ initiative, focusing on a different species each month with a dedicated programme of activities.  

A visit to Faunia takes you from one ecosystem to another — there are four in total — in just a few minutes, allowing you to discover their different habitats and the animals that live in them. From the snowy landscapes of the Polar Regions to the lush vegetation of the Jungles, via African and temperate forests, hundreds of species live side by side here. There is even a nocturnal animal house: a pavilion inhabited by creatures that thrive in the dark. And because you cannot love and protect what you do not know, the park offers a programme of activities ranging from educational talks about the species living at Faunia to opportunities to get close to its sea lions and manatees, as well as the chance to experience a tropical storm. 

This venue could be described through its impressive figures. It is a zoo, certainly, but it also has an aquarium and an aviary. It is home to more than 1,300 animals from hundreds of different species representing all five continents. You can travel from Oceania to Europe in a single stroll. Along the way, you will encounter Asia and its ever-popular giant pandas; Africa, where elegant giraffes roam peacefully across a vast plain; and South America’s anteaters. The vicuñas come from Peru, while the zoo’s residents also include red river hogs.  

Opened in 1972, Madrid Zoo Aquarium has been taking environmental protection very seriously for decades, while educating visitors about the values that support conservation. That is why it offers family workshops, educational activities featuring birds of prey, exotic birds and sea lions, as well as an immersive 360° experience that will make you feel as though you are literally standing among the animals. 

There is barely a Madrid local who has not visited Madrid Amusement Park. It has more than 30 attractions for all ages. From the near-90-kilometre-per-hour free fall of ‘La Lanzadera’ to a leisurely boat ride through ‘La Jungla’, not forgetting the chance to cool off on ‘Los Rápidos’. Visitors love strolling through its themed areas — Maquinismo, Naturaleza, Tranquilidad and the children’s Nickelodeon Land — going on their favourite rides again and again and, of course, stopping to enjoy one of its shows.

There are parades, visits to the homes of children’s favourite characters — make sure you ask about SpongeBob’s house — a terrifying The Walking Dead horror experience, and even the park’s very own musical. It is called ROCK 4EVER and takes place in the heart of Madrid Amusement Park. As you may have guessed, rock music takes centre stage. Well, rock music along with two rival bands, an impossible love story and choreography that will leave you speechless.
