Sercotel opens the Sevilla Don Luciano hotel, its fourth establishment in the city

The new 4-star hotel with 116 rooms opened its doors on March 25th in the central Plaza del Duque, becoming the fourth establishment for the company in Seville.

The Sercotel Sevilla Don Luciano opens its doors in Seville as the latest hotel from the chain in the Andalusian capital. It is a newly built four-star hotel with 116 rooms, located in Plaza del Duque, in the city center. With this addition, Sercotel now has four establishments in the capital and 14 hotels in Andalusia, consolidating its presence in one of the country’s main tourist regions.

The opening coincides with the start of Semana Santa, one of the busiest tourist periods in Seville, and reinforces the company’s strategy of growing in central locations and destinations with high activity year-round.

This opening reaffirms the company’s competitiveness in key national destinations and aligns with the ambitious growth objectives outlined in the company’s Strategic Plan 2026-2029, as explained by José Rodríguez, CEO of Sercotel: “Andalusia is a key region in our growth strategy, both for its tourist appeal and the strength of its demand. The Sercotel Sevilla Don Luciano reflects the type of project we support: a central location, a well-crafted product, and an offering that aligns with the destination. The hotel is situated in a privileged spot, with a deep historical significance, connected to the cultural identity of the city and key figures from its past.”

Andalusia is one of the regions where Sercotel has experienced the most growth in recent years, with 12 hotels added between 2021 and 2026. Globally, the chain now has 94 hotels in Spain and Andorra, including those under management (62), franchises (21), and projects under development (11).

Sercotel Sevilla Don Luciano: A journey between the Guadalquivir and the skies of Seville

Sercotel Sevilla Don Luciano has been designed to offer a comfortable and functional experience. Some of its 116 rooms feature balconies or terraces with city views, ideal for starting the day with natural light or ending it by contemplating Seville from above. The hotel is located in the area where the San Miguel church once stood, one of the most significant Gothic-Mudejar temples in the city, a location that invites guests to connect with Seville's history during their stay.

The hotel’s interior design accompanies the guest at every turn: wood, metal, and glass are combined in bright spaces that tell a story. The project draws inspiration from the historical relationship between the Guadalquivir River and maritime trade, which serves as the guiding thread for the design. Blue tones run through the hallways of the seven floors, evoking the river's journey to the sea, while the yellow, green, and terracotta hues—unmistakable symbols of Seville—color the common areas. These harmonious transitions aim to evoke the art and light characteristic of the city.

Designed for the contemporary traveler, the new Sercotel Sevilla Don Luciano offers a proposal that combines a great location, comfort, and services that fully connect with the Sercotel experience. In addition to its common areas designed for relaxation, the hotel features a gym to maintain your fitness routine and an outdoor pool, ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring the Andalusian capital. Every choice in color and materials seeks to balance the local identity with modernity, providing visitors with a coherent and sensory stay, solidifying the Sercotel Sevilla Don Luciano as the most iconic establishment in the heart of the city.
