As soon as the warmer weather arrives, all you want to do is spend time outdoors. Better still, you want to go from one open-air concert to the next. That is why you have already marked the music festivals you most want to attend in your calendar. From indie to electronic music, Spain comes alive with festivals of every kind. With their impressive line-ups and fantastic locations, these five are well worth keeping on your radar.

Granca Live Fest – 4–6 July

What do Robbie Williams, Estopa, the Black Eyed Peas and Maná have in common? Besides being hugely successful artists, they are all part of the line-up for Granca Live Fest 2024. And honestly, it is hard to ask for more: three summer days packed with fantastic music in all kinds of styles, on a paradise island where you can spend the day soaking up the sun and cooling off at Las Canteras Beach, climb to the top of Roque Nublo and feel as though you can touch the sky, or set off on a mini road trip from one charming village to the next. If you have not yet bought your tickets for Gran Canaria Live Fest, you can always take a look at the festival’s website.

Bilbao BBK Live – 11–13 July

Electronic, indie, pop, dance, electropop, techno… Bilbao BBK Live 2024 and this year’s line-up guarantee that every festivalgoer will find something to enjoy as the event takes over the Basque city for a few days. Kobetamendi will become your daily pilgrimage spot, but make the most of your visit by strolling along the river, stopping by the Alhóndiga or checking out what’s on at the Guggenheim Museum. And yes, we can confirm that tickets for Bilbao BBK Live are still available.

San Sebastián Jazz Festival – 23–28 July

Diana Krall, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Marisa Monte and Rufus Wainwright are just some of the big names set to make the 2024 San Sebastián Jazz Festival truly memorable. For five days, Donostia will host the 59th edition of this unmissable event for music lovers. It is also the perfect excuse to experience the Basque city from a different perspective, accompanied by the soundtrack of Jazzaldia 2024 at the Kursaal Auditorium, of course, as well as at other venues such as Plaza de la Trinidad, the San Telmo Museum, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre and Zurriola Square.

Brisa Festival – 25 and 26 July

Indie music will take over the Port of Málaga for two days in July. Brisa Festival 2024 boasts a line-up featuring acclaimed artists such as Lori Meyers, Travis Bird and Xoel López. A ten-out-of-ten musical offering for a ten-out-of-ten city: Málaga, where the wealth of its architectural heritage, its inspiring arts scene, its inviting beaches and its delicious cuisine all come together in perfect harmony. Suddenly, escaping to Brisa Festival and booking your tickets to experience it sounds like the best idea.

Primavera Sound – from 29 May to 2 June

Primavera Sound 2024 is already counting down the days until artists such as PJ Harvey and Lana Del Rey take to the stage in Barcelona. And yes, we know that Parc del Fòrum will become your favourite place in the world during the festival, but while you are in Barcelona, make sure you also explore the city, admire the Sagrada Família and stop by Plaça de Catalunya. How about wandering around the Sants neighbourhood? Or perhaps you would rather lie back and relax on Barceloneta beach. Oh, and if you are still looking for tickets to Primavera Sound 2024, head over to the festival’s website.
